Welcome to my personal blog.
While I have a couple of business related blogs (http://savemefromforeclosure.blogspot.com/
and http://reimarketingtips.blogspot.com/) I don't have a personal blog to write about things that I usually just email out to my friends.
Anyways, I figured that since I email out a good number of funny/interesting/stupid things on a daily basis, maybe I should blog about them, and then people can check it out here, so I'm not clogging up their email inboxes. My HTML and web knowledge isn't so strong, so please bear with me as I learn to post pictures, downloads and attachments.
Anways, the title of my blog is SportsAgony. I figured that this would be a good title since I have this horrible feeling that I'm going to die without ever seeing on of my favourite teams (Penn State, the Vancouver Canucks, Miami Dolphins or England's national football team) win a championship.
I've been called fatalistic or an asshole by my friends when I have shared this thought with them. And for those who know me really well, I know what they're going to say:
1. PSU won national championships in football in 1982 and 1986.
- Doesn't count in my book, since I wasn't a fan back then. In fact, during the 80s, I had no idea I would even go to university there.
2. You're a Manchester United fan, and they're the Yankees of the Premiership
- While United has stockpiled many titles during my days as a fan (which can be traced back to the 1983, when they beat Brighton to win the 1983 FA Cup final), being that I don't live in England, and therefore eat, live and breathe Premiership footy, I can say that although their titles are nice, in terms of importance, they mean nothing compared to a Championship for Penn State (in football), the Vancouver Canucks, or the Miami Dolphins.
I guess I hope that one day, maybe one of my teams will get it done, and I'll be able to rejoice. Until then, enjoy the Sports Agony blog, my rambling and thoughts, and please visit often!
